  • 25 October, 2011
  • About the GDC, Registrant Survey
In May/June 2011, the independent market research organisation Ipsos Mori carried out a survey of registered dental professionals for the GDC. The survey, the first of its kind, was carried out online with a representative sample of registrants including both dentists and dental care professionals. The survey covered the following issues:

Attitudes to dental regulation and the GDC;

  • Levels of confidence and satisfaction in the GDC overall and with regard to specific functions and services;
  • Standards and dental professionals;
  • Taking action when standards are not met.

Some questions in the survey were designed to allow comparison with responses to similar questions in the annual patient and public survey
