Dr Abhi Pal qualified with BDS Honours from Guys Hospital in 1987 and has been in general dental practice since then. He has been the principal of a mixed NHS-private practice in Edgbaston Birmingham since 1991 where he leads a team of 12 dental professionals. He has been a Dental Foundation Trainer since 1996 and has previously examined for FGDP(UK) membership exams. His area of clinical interest is Restorative and Implant Dentistry. Abhi was a Clinical Adviser for NHS England in Birmingham between 2001 and 2013 when he undertook practice visits, provided complaints advice to the NHS, and supported practices in Clinical Governance matters. He has been instructed as an expert witness for a variety of bodies since 2008. In 2014 Abhi was elected to the FGDP(UK) National Board, went on to become Dean, and then the first President of the College of General Dentistry in 2021.
