Reshard has a background in mental health, law enforcement, criminal justice and the charity sector.
He is an experienced non-Executive Director and has served on the boards of several law enforcement agencies including the National Crime Agency and the Metropolitan Police Authority, where he was Chair of Professional Standards Committee for nearly 10 years.
Currently Reshard holds non-Executive positions at the Fundraising Regulator, The Bell Foundation and Foundations, What Works Centre for children and families.
Reshard runs a small business in the mental health care sector. Early in his career he qualified as a registered psychiatric nurse and worked in the NHS for a few years.
He served as a magistrate for three decades and sat in both criminal and family courts.
