Future dental team: their expectations, development and career

Matthew’s knowledge of regulatory policy has been gained through a number of senior roles across a wide range of fields. These include food safety, alcohol and broadcasting, with Matthew having held director positions in both research and intelligence. Prior to joining the GDC, Matthew was director of regulatory risk at the Gambling Commission, where he applied learning from major regulatory cases to improve protection for consumers, children and vulnerable adults. Within our organisation, his role as director of strategy includes the development and implementation of strategy, policy and communications.
