 Susan Fenton has over 30 years of experience in the dental profession, spanning clinical practice, education, and leadership. She currently serves as Clinical Director at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy and Chair of the Association of Dental Hospitals.

In her role at the University of Portsmouth, Susan leads multidisciplinary teams across clinical, academic, research, and educational settings. Her work focuses on fostering collaboration, strengthening community partnerships, and improving outcomes for both patients and students.

As Chair of the Association of Dental Hospitals, Susan advocates for excellence in dental education, research, and clinical practice across the UK and Ireland. She is committed to building a resilient and innovative workforce that enhances access to care, reduces health inequalities, and drives improvements in patient outcomes.

Susan’s professional interests include supporting the next generation of dental professionals, promoting academic and research careers, and advancing preventative, patient-centred models of care. She is also passionate about sustainability in dental education and service delivery and about expanding community-based dental initiatives.
