On 3 October 2019, Rachael Barnes and Rachel Burton of Sheffield were both found guilty in their absence of illegally practising dentistry. Rachel Burton was also found guilty of illegally carrying on the business of dentistry.

On 10 September 2019, Tara Thomas of Beckenham, South East London, pleaded guilty to two charges of illegally practising dentistry and one charge of illegally carrying on the business of dentistry. These offences related to illegal tooth whitening. Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court ordered Ms Thomas to pay nearly £4,000 in fines, legal costs and compensation to the victims.

On 29 August 2019, Janet Clark of Morgan’s Hair and Beauty, Chesterfield, pleaded guilty to illegally offering tooth whitening and was sentenced to a conditional discharge of six months, and ordered to pay over £500 in fines and legal costs by Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.
