Nicola joined the dental nursing profession straight from school, joining her local GDP practice for 3 years, qualifying for her National exam in 1995. She then left practice to join Community Dental Servies CIC (CDS) in 1996.  Nicola’s career has seen her progress from DCP through Senior Dental Nurse in Special Care, to Mobile Fleet Coordinator. During her Career she has completed the national courses for extended duties and post qualifications in; Sedation, Radiography, Special Care, Oral Health, Fluoride Varnish application and Impression taking. 

Nicola has continued her DCP career in CDS CIC becoming the Strategic Mobile Lead which highlights her passion and commitment to be a strong advocate for mobile dentistry and its role in reaching people often marginalised from accessing dental care across the region.  Nicola enjoys nothing more than going back to her roots and being a chair side assistant and nursing for the vulnerable groups she loves to support, or running nurse led clinics and supporting other DN’s in gaining skills across the service.
