Wendy began her dental career aged 16 in a busy NHS practice in the Lake District before joining the dental branch of the Women's Royal Naval Service. 

On leaving, Wendy worked extensively in private practice, whilst also supporting patients recovering from maxillofacial in dental care surgery in her local hospital. 

After successfully completing her BSc in Oral Health Science, Wendy has continued to work as a dental therapist within her own locum company - Dental Locum Direct. She also works in the education sector as a supervisor and tutor alongside this role. 

As a BADT Council member, Wendy represents both education and training and works with the Mental Health Wellness in Dentistry group to implement a nationwide framework for mental health support to the whole dental team
