Donald Burden
Donald Burden is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast and after a period in general dental practice he completed postgraduate clinical training in orthodontics at Belfast and Manchester Dental Schools as well as completing a MSc and a PhD.
Prior to his GDC role he was a Consultant Orthodontist and Professor of Orthodontics and also held the post of Head of Queen’s University Dental School and Clinical Director for Dental Services. He has extensive experience as a clinical educator and his clinical and research interests primarily focused on patients with severe dentofacial discrepancy.
Donald is a dental Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is a past-President of the British Orthodontic Society.
