John Cullinane

John Cullinane joined the GDC from the Civil Service, where he worked in various investigative and inspectorial roles. He was initially Head of Case Progression and, as well as reshaping the fitness to practise casework process, introduced the in-house dental team that provides early clinical advice.

John took over the role of Head of Adjudication in December 2018, running the GDC’s hearing function and managing the Case Examiners. He became Executive Director, Fitness to Practise in March 2020. His current role is Executive Manager, Hearings.
