Kaushik is the Clinical Director for the Northwest, Central and Northern Ireland region for MyDentist, the largest Body corporate In the UK with over 500 sites across the UK. 

His background is in general dental practice being based primarily within the  Midland area since 2005 after graduating from India in 2003. 

Previous to his role as clinical director , he was an associate dentist in general practice for 14years during which he has held several roles as a mentor for overseas qualified dentists and a Foundation Dentist Trainer in General Practice.  

Along side his role as Clinical Director , Kaushik has a deep passion for surgery and he continues to works part time at the Birmingham Dental Hospital as Speciality Dentist in Oral Surgery and  a Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the School of Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham which he has done since 2008 . He has also worked  as a Tier 2 Oral surgery Provider in primary care and is an accredited Tier 2 IMOS provider and STAC approved sedation tutor. 

In these roles , he is actively involved in the delivery of General dental services along with Minor Oral Surgery services within the hospital under local anaesthetic and sedation.  

He has completed several post graduate qualifications in sedation and oral surgery and holds the membership of both the Royal colleges of England and Edinburgh. Most recently he was awarded the Fellowship of the College of General Dentistry(FCGDENT).He is also a Fellow of the Higher education Academy having undertaken a PG Certificate in Education. 

Kaushik  is actively involved in teaching, assessments ,career planning and supporting undergraduate teaching and recruitment within the Dental school  and in the training of DF1, DCT and other Dental and DCP colleagues especially in oral surgery within the region. 

He is also an examiner for several dental examinations like the ORE , LDS , MFDS and Diploma in Sedation  

He is currently involved in shaping the delivery of local dental services in the Northwest of England and ensuring high standards of Clinical practice and champions the welfare of patients and the dental workforce . He overseas the day to day functioning of over 150 dental practices and  works collaboratively with several LATs and is a representative on several MCNs and LPNs.
