Brid Hendron

Brid Hendron

Brid is the Postgraduate Dental Dean for Northern Ireland, a role she has held since 2016, alongside working in coaching and speaking on leadership, communication and culture in healthcare. She qualified with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1992.

She has over 20 years’ experience in clinical dentistry, working across Ireland and the UK in a range of roles including principal, associate and practice owner. Her clinical interest in managing dental anxiety led to further qualifications in conscious sedation and hypnosis, along with a licence to deliver Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) training across healthcare and business. She has presented widely on these topics, as well as leadership in healthcare.

Brid also held a Regional Lead role within the Northern Ireland Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG), supporting hospital and community dental services. This role provided valuable insight into working collaboratively across systems and understanding how service, commissioning and training perspectives align in practice.

She is a Senior Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Faculty of Dental Educators, and an active member of the Q Community. She is known for her work in service transformation and her focus on supporting both individuals and systems to improve patient care and outcomes.
