Jeyanthi John

Jeyanthi John currently works in Dental Public Health across the southeast of England where she works with a range of local partners to support local dental commissioning, particularly around equity of  access to dental care and with oral health outcomes.  This includes supporting the development of oral health surveillance and improvement programmes.

Jeyanthi has experience of clinical dentistry as well as qualifications and experience in Health Administration, Health Education and Epidemiology& Public Health.  She has a keen interest in research and has published in peer-reviewed journals.  She has an honorary academic contract with King's College London Dental Institute where she contributes to teaching.  She serves on the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Public Health Research Programme Prioritisation Committee which advises funders on the potential population impact of public health research proposals, including in oral health.  Jeyanthi contributes to local governance processes within her organisation and has been a volunteer governor on the Board of Southampton City College for several years where she currently chairs the College Search and Governance Committee and is Lead Governor for Safeguarding and Prevent.
