Sharon Allen

Sharon Allen qualified in 1981 from the Royal Dental Hospital, London. She worked at the London Hospital, Whitechapel and in general dental practice until 1988. She taught English as a Foreign Language whilst living in Germany for 2 years, also translating medical research papers into English for publication. She has lived and worked in Bristol since 1990. She has held various posts as a member of The British Dental Hygienists’ Association, now known as The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy. These include chairman, secretary and council representative at regional level, and at national level include elected member to Executive Council, charity officer, press officer and honorary secretary.
