Sarah Baalham
Sarah Baalham is currently a lay panel chair for the Health and Care Professions Council, and a disability-qualified panel member for Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service. She is also a lay member for the Advisory Committee for Clinical Excellence Awards, (East of England), and a lay member of IGARD, the independent group advising NHS Digital on the release of confidential patient data.
Previous roles include sitting as a Fitness to Practise Panel lay member for the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Investigating Committee; lay member of the Professional Conduct Committee of the Bar Standards Board; lay member of the Conduct and Registration Committees of the General Social Care Council; lay member and chair for the Institute for Learning, Professional Practice Committee; lay member and Fixed Penalty reviewer for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Conduct and Appeals Committee; lay member for the Professional Conduct Committee of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives; lay member and chair of the Disciplinary Committee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and lay adviser for the Professional Practice Committee and chair of the Elections Appeals Committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Sarah worked as a Social Services Customer Care Manager 1999 – 2009 and before that held various roles in Social Services and the voluntary sector.
