Tim Bailey has over 25 years’ experience in dispute resolution and investigations, specialising mainly in consumer complaints and professional conduct issues. He had a senior management position at the Standards Board for England. And he was a scrutiny manager and Acting Director of Scrutiny and Quality at the Professional Standards Authority. There he led independent audits of the casework of the UK’s health professional regulators, including the GDC. Most recently he has worked as an ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service, and he continues to be a member of the panel of ombudsmen.
