Before you begin applying for posts, you must check whether you are eligible for temporary registration. If you have not already done so, please view how to apply - a step by step guide.
IMPORTANT - Please note that your eligibility for certain training posts is dependent upon your UK Border Agency visa. If you require further information on the new immigration legislation, please visit the UK Border Agency website.
About temporary registration
Temporary registration is issued for the purposes of allowing those with degrees obtained outside the EEA, to gain training, research or teaching experience in the UK. Under temporary registration, posts must either be in NHS hospitals or UK universities and be supervised by a GDC registered consultant. Temporary registration will not be given for posts in primary care or private practice.

Finding Employment
The Council cannot arrange employment and does not keep information of available posts. Please note that availability of posts described is very limited. There is also a high volume of applications for any vacancies so you should be aware that eligibility for temporary registration does NOT guarantee you employment.
Advice on employment matters in the UK can be obtained from the NACPDE. You will find a small number of vacancies for the type of posts listed on this page advertised in the British Dental Journal, or from the British Dental Association.
