The Department of Health has issued a note to alert maxillofacial prosthetists and their employers to the need for maxillofacial prosthetists to register as dental technicians with the GDC by 30 July 2008. This is as a result of the reform of professional regulation which is with a view to enhancing patient safety and quality of care.
