Registering with the GDC 

Dentists may apply to register with us if they are eligible for full registration. Full registration allows dentists to practise unsupervised in the UK.

You are eligible for full registration if you qualified:

• in the UK;
• in the European Economic Area (EEA)*;
• in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa or Western Cape; or 
• outside the EEA and have passec the overseas registration exam.

*Please note that you if you have a dental qualification and have qualified in the UK or in EEA, to be eligible for registration you will have to demonstrate that you are either an Exempt Person or a UK national with enforceable community rights, or entitled to be treated as such.
