Dental nurses and dental technicians

The current fees for first registration as a dental nurse or dental technician are shown below.

The fee you pay depends on the month you submit your application for registration. For example, if you submit your application in August 2008 you will need to pay a fee of £96. This fee will cover a period of registration up to, and including, July 31 2009. From 1 August 2009, you will then need to pay an annual fee to keep your name on the register.  

The following table applies to dental nurses and dental technicians only. The fees for dentists, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental therapists and orthodontic therapists are given further down this page.

The fee you pay depends on the month you submit your registration application to the GDC. For example if you submit your application in August 2008, you will need to pay a fee of £40 for 2008. The fee covers a period of registration up to and including 31 December 2008.

The fee you pay depends on the month you submit your registration application to the GDC. For example, if you submit your application in August 2008 you need to pay a fee of £179 for 2008.  The fee covers a period of registration up to and including 31 December 2008.

How to pay
Payment can be made by credit card / debit card, postal orders or cheque. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Solo, Electron and Maestro. If you are paying by credit card / debit card please provide your card details in the relevant section of the application form. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to the General Dental Council - please write your full name on the reverse.

If you are enclosing original documents with your application and would like these returned by recorded delivery please add £10 to your fee.
