You can download our education publications to find out what we ask educators to provide, what we expect of students who want to register with us, and what kind of further training and learning we ask professionals to commit to.

‘Student Fitness to Practise’ outlines the standards we expect students to meet before they can register with us, and our curriculum requirements are set out in ‘Developing the Dental Team’ (for DCPs) and ‘The First Five Years’ (for dentists).

To stay on the register professionals must also be able to show that they are committed to learning new skills for the benefit of patients and their own personal development. The ‘Continuing Professional Development’ series explains this in more detail.

There’s also information on how we check the quality of education and training provided by universities, colleges, centres and other institutions.
