The General Dental Council (GDC) is conducting a review of its website and is calling on all site visitors, including dental professionals and professional groups, to complete an online survey which is available on the website.

The review is looking at the website’s content; accessibility; navigation; presentation and design; reliability; and speed.  The survey will ask visitors about the ease of locating information on the site and any additional features they would like to see included. The feedback visitors give will help the GDC to continue to maintain and improve this website. 

The online survey, which will be available until 12 September, is one part of the annual review of the website, which also includes a comprehensive analysis of traffic to the site, to refine content and navigation.

Tara Phillips, GDC Director of External Relations, said:

“We would like as many people as possible to participate in this online survey as the results will allow us to build up a picture of our users and therefore improve the site.”

Visitors to the website will soon have the option to sign up for email alerts when new information is added to the site.  Dental professionals, members of the public and professional groups will be able to pick and choose the alerts they receive from a range of topics, including new publications, latest news for registrants, details of upcoming disciplinary hearings and determinations from recent disciplinary hearings.
