Validation via provisional registration consultation

This consultation is aimed at all those with an interest in dental care – the dental team, employers, healthcare providers, patient groups, members of the public, educators and others.

The General Dental Council (GDC) is currently looking at how it might better regulate the dental profession to make sure that everyone who registers as a dental professional meets our standards, not only when they first register but throughout their working lives.

We are looking for responses from as wide a range of the individuals and organisations as possible. With this in mind we have developed two consultation documents - one for general consultation and one specifically for the dental profession. Please answer the consultation document that is most appropriate to you.

Please take the time to read the questions we are asking and reply to the consultation. Remember, this is your opportunity to have your say on what you think about our proposals for validation via provisional registration.
