Revalidation
Revalidation is the way in which, in the future, registrants will demonstrate to us that they continue to have the knowledge and skills required to practise in accordance with our Standards for dental professionals, in order to remain registered.
We are committed to developing a model of revalidation that is workable, proportionate and cost effective.
Research
We are also undertaking research and information gathering to inform our proposals where appropriate, as part of evidence-based policy making.

Consultation and analysis
In late 2010 we held a public consultation on our proposals for revalidation for dentists. This consultation is now closed.
