How to update your registered details
You need to inform us promptly of any changes to your registered details, including a change of address and, if you pay the annual retention fee by Direct Debit, your bank details. Keeping us up to date is vital. If we don't have your correct address, our fee reminder letters may not reach you and you could also miss out on other important GDC requests and updates.

How can I change my registered address?
To change your registered address, please print, complete and return the change of address form found in the links menu, by post or fax. You can also register a change of address over the telephone. You will be asked a security question to identify you.
Which address should I use as my registered address?
Your registered address can be your home address, practice address, or another address where you can be contacted. The address you use is your choice. Some registrants prefer to use their practice address to safeguard their privacy. It's also possible to register a Post Office Box number if you prefer. Whichever address you choose to use, please remember to keep us up to date and tell us promptly if you change address, or if there are any other changes to your registered details.
Are my registered details publicly available?
Yes. By law your registered details (your full name, registered address, qualifications and date of first registration) are all public information. Members of the public can check any registrant's details by contacting us or by checking the Dentists Register or Dental Care Professional Register on this website.
Do I need to let you know if my name has changed?
If your name has changed and you wish to practise under your new name, please download the change of name form accessed via the links menu. Complete and return it to us along with documentary evidence such as a copy of your marriage certificate or a change of name deed poll.
