Rosemarie Khan is a registered dental nurse and a registered dental hygienist. Since qualifying as a dental hygienist in 1970 she has worked in general dental practice and in the hospital service and the community dental service as a tutor, and as an oral health promotion manager. She currently is employed by Salford PCT as a tutor dental hygienist at the Greater Manchester School for DCPs.
Rosemarie has a Diploma in Dental Health Education, a Further Education Teaching Certificate and a BA and a Masters degree. She is a past president of the British Dental Hygienists Association.
She has received several awards. They include, the Leatherman Award for outstanding services to the profession of dental hygiene, the British Dental Associations Medal of Honour for out standing service to British Dentistry and an OBE for services to standards in dental hygiene.
