Originally a biochemist, Peter Catchpole worked as a senior executive in the NHS for 30 years, for 20 of these as a Chief Executive. He has also been a non-executive director for organisations in the not-for-profit, private and charity sectors, including the Prescription Pricing Authority (1998-2001).
Peter currently works with the Health Quality Service and is a business adviser to the independent health sector. He also lectures at the University of Brighton Business School and Post-Graduate Medical School for Masters Programmes/Development modules. He is an assessor for Independent Review Panels for complaints in the NHS; an associate lay member of the General Medical Council's Fitness to Practise Committees; and has worked with the Commission for Health Improvement as a Clinical Governance Reviewer.
