Alison White is the Interim Chief Executive and Registrar of the General Dental Council. She was appointed to the role on 15 December 2009.
Alison has a strong track record of economic development, leadership and business results, in both the public and private sectors. As a commercial, Chartered Director, Alison’s experience has included the health and skills sectors. She has been Chief Executive for the National Pharmacy Association, the trade body for community pharmacists and Managing Director for Primecare, part of the Nestor Healthcare Group, which provides out of hours services for GPs.
Much of her experience has been with the Royal Mail Group, where she qualified as an accountant and MBA, and led international operations, and mergers and acquisitions.
Alison has maintained a strong interest in the synergies between business and the arts throughout her career, and brings her business, finance and corporate governance skills to her role as a Director of the National Youth Music Theatre.
