Meredyth Bell owns a dental practice in Cumbria, with a team of four dentists, two hygienists, a visiting consultant orthodontist and a surgical dentist, providing both private and NHS treatment. She is also a trainer for vocational dental practitioners.
Meredyth is Chairman of Denplan's Advisory Board, and Secretary of the Cordent Trust. She is also an audit facilitator and mentor for dentists in North Cumbria. She was a member of her local dental committee for 16 years. Meredyth has previously been Director for the northern division of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and a member of the Government's Standing Dental Advisory Committee. She is on the Advisory Board of The Dentist magazine and is a regular contributor of articles. She was appointed an Ambassador for Investors in People in 2002 and was awarded the MBE in 2000 for services to standards in dentistry.
