Chris Hoyle

Chris Hoyle is a general dental practitioner practising in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. He qualified in 1981 from Sheffield Dental School and after a house job at Sheffield Dental Hospital he became an associate of a practice in Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. In 1984 he became principal of his own practice in Kirkby Lonsdale.

Chris has been Postgraduate Dental Tutor since 1995 firstly of Manchester University’s Department of Postgraduate Medicine and Dentistry and latterly of the North West Deanery. He has recently been elected Chairman of the National Dental Tutors Representative Group. In 2001 he became Dental Practice Advisor to Morecambe Bay and now Cumbria PCT.  He has been a Vocational Trainer for nine years. Chris has been an elected member of the local LDC since 1993 and occasionally features on local BBC radio as phone-in dentist.

Other interests include his almost fledged family, golf and photography. Recently he has taken up small bore target rifle shooting in support of his son who is currently a member of the GB U25 rifle team and recently returned from Canada as a member of the World Championship winning team.
