Anita Nolan (Member until 31 July 2009)

 

Anita Nolan qualified in dentistry at Trinity College Dublin in 1989, having previously qualified in medicine. Anita went on to undertake specialist clinical training in Oral Medicine and gain an MD for research into oral aspects of HIV infection.

 

She took up post as Senior Lecturer, Honorary Consultant in Oral Medicine at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1994. She was awarded a masters degree in medical law in 2002. Now a Consultant and Honorary Senior lecturer in Oral Medicine at Dundee Dental Hospital & School, she continues clinical commitment as well as teaching and research. A particular interest is specialty training in Oral Medicine.

 

She is a member of the Specialty Advisory Committee for Additional Dental Specialties and an examiner in Oral Medicine section of the Intercollegiate Specialist Fellowship.
