The Standards Committee:

• advises Council on the framework of standards which the Council should set for dental professionals
• drafts and reviews the professional and ethical guidance which the Council publishes
• monitors the impact which the Council’s guidance has on the Council’s work, dental professionals, the public and educational providers.

The members of the Standards Committee are (with effect from 10 November 2009):

• Anthony Kilcoyne - Registrant Council Member
• David Smith - Lay Council Member
• Peter Catchpole - Lay Council Member

The last Standards Committee meeting was held on Wednesday 17th November 2009.
