How we work

Sharing information with others

We aim to be as open and accessible as possible in sharing information with others.  Agendas, meeting papers and minutes of our Committees will be made available to the public via this section of our website.

There are exceptions. For example, the law stipulates that our Health and Preliminary Procedings Committees sit in private,  which means that we will not publish agendas and minutes for these meetings. However, any decision by the Committee to restrict a dentist's practice, or to suspend a dentist's registration, will be made public.

Other information considered by our Committees may also not be made public for reasons such as:

  • an item contains information which is the subject of legal proceedings or advice,
  • an item contains information provided in confidence by a third party, or personal information on an individual who has not given consent for disclosure,
  • an item deals with personnel issues.
