The Council meets in public about four times a year and is assisted by a number of Committees, to whom it delegates work. These are:

• Investigating Committee
• Interim Orders Committee
• Preliminary Proceedings Committee *
• Registration Committee
• Standards Committee

• Professional Performance Committee

Additionally, Working Groups carry out detailed work on the development of specific, major policy initiatives. These are:

• Constitution Review Working Group
• Revalidation Working Group
• Specialist Dental Education Board.
• Scope of Practice Working Group
• Overseas Dental Care Professionals Registration Working Group

Council has also established an Advisory Board for the Dental Complaints Service, see www.dentalcomplaints.org.uk
