This Committee develops policy on fitness to practise issues, distinct from the operational responsibilities of the Investigating Committee and the independent Fitness to Practise Panel.

The members of the Fitness to Practise Policy Committee are (with effect from 10 November 2009):

• Carol Varlaam - Lay Council Member
• Hazel Fraser - Registrant Council Member
• Grahame Owen - Lay Council Member
• Linda Stone - Lay Council Member

The future committee structure is to be agreed and established by the new Council.

The 2010 Fitness to Practise Policy Committee dates are as follows:

• Friday 12th February 2010
• Tuesday 4th May 2010
• Wednesday 4th August 2010
• Thursday 4th November 2010
