Finance & HR Committee
 

The Finance and Human Resources Committee:
  • monitors and reports on matters that will affect the financial viability of the Council,
  • ensures effective financial stewardship of the Council’s resources,
  • develops the annual budget for the Council’s approval and monitors performance against each budget, and
  • ensures good employment practices and compliance by the Council with current employment law.

On 10 November 2009 the Council elected the  Finance and Human Resources Committee. The membership is as follows: 

The meetings are held in public in accordance with paragraph 23.1 of the The General Dental Council Standing Orders for the Conduct of Business 2009, which states Meetings of Committees will be held in public where the Committee considers it in the public interest to do so.

Some items on the agenda may be considered in confidence in accordance with 21.7 of the Standing Orders where The Chair, having consulted the Secretary, may decide that an agenda item should be considered in confidence, if he or she considers it in the public interest to do so.
