The GDC organises regular cycles of inspections of all UK dental and DCP education providers. 

We use a panel of inspectors to quality-assure training programmes leading to registration. Inspection teams interview relevant staff and students, review facilities and resources and inspect final examinations and assessments. For every inspection, we prepare a report which, where appropriate, will make recommendations and requirements for developing the programme.
 
Inspection teams comprise dental professionals, lay inspectors and a member of staff from the QA team.
